Terms of Service
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of aein, a private space for couples to stay connected, share moments, and organize parts of their lives together.
By creating an account or using aein, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
aein is intended for adults in romantic relationships and is not designed for children.
By using aein, you represent that you are legally permitted to use the service and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and authentication credentials.
You should not share your authentication credentials with another person or allow unauthorized access to your account.
You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account unless that activity resulted from unauthorized access that you could not reasonably prevent.
If you believe your account has been compromised, you should contact us through our Support page.
3. Couple Homes
aein allows users to create or join a shared Couple Home intended for two people.
You should only invite or connect with a person you know and intend to share your Couple Home with.
You are responsible for ensuring that information you intentionally share with your partner is appropriate for that shared space.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of content that you create or upload to aein, subject to the rights and permissions necessary for us to operate the service.
This may include messages, photos, memories, notes, drawings, tasks, wishlists, date ideas, availability information, and other content supported by the application.
By submitting content to aein, you grant us the limited permission necessary to store, process, transmit, display, and otherwise handle that content solely as reasonably required to provide and maintain the service.
You are responsible for the content you submit and must have the necessary rights or permissions to share it.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use aein to:
- Break applicable laws or regulations.
- Impersonate another person or provide intentionally misleading information.
- Access another user's account without authorization.
- Attempt to bypass authentication or security controls.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service.
- Introduce malware, malicious code, or harmful content.
- Abuse, harass, threaten, or intentionally harm another person.
- Use the service for fraudulent or illegal activity.
- Attempt to access systems, data, or accounts that you are not authorized to access.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to circumvent technical protections except where permitted by applicable law.
6. Privacy
Your use of aein is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information.
7. Messaging and Encryption
aein may provide messaging and other communication features.
The security and encryption available for messages depend on the technical implementation of the application.
We will describe messaging as end-to-end encrypted only when the implementation has been verified to provide end-to-end encryption.
Users should not attempt to use aein as a substitute for a specialized secure communications system for circumstances requiring a particular level of security unless that protection has been explicitly verified and documented by aein.
8. Availability and Service Changes
We aim to keep aein available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
We may temporarily suspend or limit parts of the service for maintenance, security, updates, technical issues, or other operational reasons.
We may add, modify, or remove features as aein develops.
9. Third-Party Services
aein may rely on third-party services and infrastructure providers to operate parts of the application.
These services may include authentication, database infrastructure, file storage, realtime functionality, hosting, notifications, or other technical services.
Your use of third-party services may also be subject to the applicable terms and policies of those providers.
10. Account Suspension or Termination
You may stop using aein at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access to an account when reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, security, or legal interests, including where these Terms are violated.
Where reasonably appropriate, we may provide notice before taking action, unless immediate action is necessary for security, legal, or other legitimate reasons.
You may request account deletion using the instructions on our Delete Account page.
11. Data After Account Deletion
Account deletion may result in the removal of account information and associated content.
Some information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, security records, or third-party systems where retention is necessary for legitimate operational, legal, or security purposes.
Details about information handling are described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Intellectual Property
The aein name, branding, software, website, design, and other materials provided by aein are owned by or licensed to aein unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit aein's proprietary materials without appropriate authorization, except where permitted by applicable law.
13. Disclaimers
aein is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, complete, or free from errors.
Features such as calendars, dates, availability, reminders, location information, weather information, or other third-party data may not always be accurate or available.
You are responsible for using your judgment when relying on information provided through the application.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, aein and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as aein develops, new features are introduced, or legal requirements change.
When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Where required by law, we may provide additional notice or request acceptance of updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are subject to applicable law. Any disputes arising from or relating to the service will be handled in accordance with the applicable laws and jurisdiction governing aein and its users.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or limit rights that you may have under mandatory consumer-protection or other applicable laws.
